1923 Commercial Luger, #84344, 9mm, 4'' barrel, blue finish with straw small parts, walnut grips, nickel-plated magazine with unmarked wood base. ''Germany'' on left side just above thumb safety, blank chamber, DWM marked toggle link, ''Gesichert'' and ''Geladen'' marked safety and extractor, ''(crown)/N'' proofmarks to upper receiver and barrel. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 97% lightly thinning blue, with most of the losses at high edge of sideplate and forward edge of frame. Grips remain mostly crisp with light flattening, and straw parts show little use. Action is crisp, bore is bright. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (C&R)
